Our Story
The Cigar Store was originally established in Queens, New York with the help of my grandfather, Pedro Castegon Capielo. Pedro was born in 1889 and arrived at Ellis Island from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico aboard the ship Zulia.
Growing up, the aroma of a fine cigar always brought back memories of my grandfather and his love of cigars. That family connection helped inspire The Cigar Store and our continued appreciation for the tradition, enjoyment and relaxation associated with a fine cigar.
Serving Cigar Enthusiasts Online
Today, The Cigar Store serves adult cigar enthusiasts throughout the United States with a broad selection of premium cigars, cigar accessories, humidors, lighters, cutters, cigar cases, pipes, pipe tobacco and other smoking accessories.
Our corporate office is located in California, while customer orders are fulfilled through distribution locations outside California. Our goal is to make it easy for customers to find trusted cigar brands and useful accessories while providing knowledgeable and responsive customer service.
